Before relocating to Delaware, Doug directed a thriving guitar program at Manatee School for the Arts in Palmetto, Florida, where he was also the music department chairperson. In addition to his teaching duties at the Guitar Academy, Seth is also on the faculty at Salisbury University.  

 




Doug has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Venezuela, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary and has appeared on both TV and radio.   His guitar works have been published through Mel Bay Publications, the largest guitar publisher in the world.  Doug has studied extensively with luminaries in the classical guitar world such as Stanley Yates, Luis Zea, and James Piorkowski  and has performed in numerous masterclasses with some of the world’s foremost performers and teachers. He holds a Master of Music degree from Austin Peay State University and a Bachelor of Music degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Currently, Doug performs as a solo guitarist as well as a member of the cross- genre ensemble, Mosaic String Duo. Read a recent review from a Mosaic performance here.

Directions: 
From Rt. 13/Sussex Hwy., turn onto Rt. 20/Norman Eskridge Hwy. at the corners of McDonald's and Friendly's. Drive about 1.5 miles. After passing over the bridge, make the second left after Subway onto Hall Street (a gas station is on the corner). The Guitar Academy is in the second brick building on the left. The Academy shares office space with the private counseling office of Natalie A. Cherrix, LCSW.
